Handweaver Designer Maker

Weaving is my passion, reflecting my fascination with the transformation of thread into cloth and cloth into the functional and decorative items we’re wrapped in throughout our lives. I work with carefully selected natural materials to make homewares and artworks for you to treasure. I am inspired by the colours, textures and patterns all around us in the landscape, in nature and in our built environment. Cloth offers us both protection and comfort and I believe that it should feel good to the touch as well as looking good.

Each stage from inspiration to design, weaving and making is carefully considered and done with care and attention to detail. The process of designing and making handwoven items this way is slow but ensures that each piece is unique and that it can travel with you, collecting memories of the people, places and things that happen along the way.

Whilst I occasionally offer small collections in my shop I prefer to make pieces to order. This help to reduce the impact of my practice and means that you have a piece made especially for you, be it a regular design or a bespoke item. For more information about how this works please see the ‘Useful information/ T&Cs’ page or get in touch using the ‘Contact’ page and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

You can also see examples of what I make in the individual ‘Work’ pages, in the Crafts Council Directory, at exhibitions and by visiting Contemporary Applied Arts in Marylebone, London or at www.caagallery.org.uk

Following our Open Studios event there is a tiny update of new cushions in my shop, and delivery to mainland UK addresses is currently free.
